USNT Videographer

The US National Team, managed by the USNT Coordinator, is the official quidditch team of the United States. The team is regulated by USQ and is a national member of the IQA. The team has won the most IQA World Cup titles, winning gold in 2012, 2014, and 2018.

The USNT is currently seeking a videographer to create highlight videos, highlight clips, and film gameplay.

This is a year-round volunteer position. Volunteers attend meetings with other volunteers on their team or in their department as needed. They will have the opportunity to work on a variety of USNT programs and events, including IQA World Cup, IQA Pan-American Games, and USNT training camps.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend and film USNT competitions (gameplay and highlight film)
  • Coordinate film for USNT Training Camps (this individual is not required to attend all training camps but would be expected to set up a film crew for these events)
  • Assist with video requests for USNT projects

TASKS MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

  • Recruit videographers for USNT events, as needed
  • Help maintain USNT video archive
  • Assist with finding videos for USNT articles, social media posts, press requests, and print publications
  • Create videos for the USNT

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year experience in video production
  • Familiarity with quidditch and how the sport works
  • Prior experience filming quidditch
  • Time commitment will vary greatly. This role will complete the bulk of their work on-site at IQA World Cup and IQA Pan-American games and the weeks leading up to those events

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience in video production, particularly in sports and/or events
  • Experience working under tight deadlines
