Team USA National Team Coordinator

The National Team Coordinator is responsible for the logistical organization of Team USA. The National Team Coordinator is a volunteer within the Membership Department and reports to the Membership Director.

The National Team Coordinator’s responsibilities include:

STAFF SELECTION

  • Work with the Membership Director to recruit and interview National Team Head Coach and Team Staff.
  • Work with the Membership Director to create positions on team staff as necessary to delegate responsibilities.

FUNDRAISING

  • Work with the Membership Director and the Executive Director to set a budget for the national team.
  • Organize fundraising events throughout the year to alleviate cost to players
  • Research and coordinate partnerships for the National Team.

PRACTICE

  • Work with National Team Head Coach to schedule practices and throughout the year.
  • Assist in handling logistics for facilities, housing, and competition for practices.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

  • Develop a plan for international friendlies outside of IQA World Cup
  • Work with other national teams to handle logistics for international competitions.

ROSTER SELECTION

  • Work with the Membership Director on setting roster restrictions as necessary
  • In conjunction with Head Coach and Membership Director, determine Team USA selection process.
  • Handle logistics in organizing tryouts with the Head Coach.
  • Assist coaching staff in finalizing rosters for all competitions.
  • Organize all waivers and agreements for all Team USA applicants and players.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

  • Pitch Team USA to local, regional, and national media outlets
  • Coordinate media coverage about the team
  • Conduct interviews with press about team progress
  • Develop and coordinate marketing plan for Team USA in conjunction with USQ Communications Department.

The National Team Coordinator is expected to attend regular meetings with the Membership Director and the National Team Head Coach in order to discuss developments within the team.
