USQ has added three new members to the Board of Directors, effective September 2020: Christian Barnes, Brandi Cannon, and Kristin Ladia. Together they bring a combined 23 years of quidditch experience to the Board. They are all current USQ volunteers.
Referee and snitch runner written tests for the 2020-21 season are now available.
USQ Rulebook 14 is now available and will be in effect for the 2020-21 season.
USQ and MLQ have updated their return to play guidelines, incorporating seven total stages. Teams must meet certain baseline conditions before moving beyond stage 2.
Update: Salt Lake City, Utah will host USQC in 2022, and Valley Forge, Pennsylvania will host US Quidditch Cup in 2023. The sites and dates for 2021-22 regional championships are also now available.
USQ is introducing new lower priced membership levels that give access to USQ+ virtual programs and the mentorship program, among other benefits.
Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Quidditch Association and USQ have decided to postpone the IQA World Cup from 2021 to either 2022 or 2023.
US Quidditch is cancelling all three fall regional championships that were set to take place in October and November 2020.
