Team Registration for Sin City Classic

Registration updates for Sin City Classic, a USQ-hosted club only event.

Information is now available regarding club team registration for the USQ Sin City Classic; a USQ hosted sanctioned event for USQ’s club teams. The event will take place on January 15-16, 2022, at Anthem Park in Henderson, Nevada.

Before registering for any USQ-hosted events, ensure all members of your team are aware of the latest update to our Return to Play policy. All teams must be in accordance with these policies to participate in any USQ-hosted event. The latest update can be found here

Sin City Classic 

The Sin City Classic is a multi-day LGBTQ+ sports festival hosted annually by The Greater Los Angeles Softball Association (GLASA) in Las Vegas during the four days prior to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. First started in 2008, the event has grown to become the largest annual LGBTQ+ sporting event in the world. USQ will be joining the event in 2022 as its 25th sport.

This event is for USQ club teams only. This event will not count as the regional requirement to attend US Quidditch Cup. For more information about US Quidditch Cup eligibility, see this article.

Sin City Classic is not included in the USQ membership cost. Each team must pay a registration fee of $200, in addition to a $20 per player fee. Once registered, the teams’ primary contact will be emailed an invoice and link to pay the registration and player fees.

Registration Steps

Each team will need to do the following:

  1. Fill out this registration form
  2. Reserve hotel rooms and notify USQ of their team’s  hotel arrangements by completing this form
  3. Register for this calendar event on the USQ calendar. To do this, a team admin will need to login to the USQ website, click on the appropriate event calendar link, and click the button that says "request attendance."
  4. This event is not included in your USQ membership cost. Prior to being fully registered, your team must pay a registration fee of $200, in addition to $20 per player. These fees can be paid via an invoice emailed to the team’s primary contact.

Teams must also complete the membership requirements listed here to be eligible to compete. These requirements include:

  1. Having a fully certified coach at least 24 hours before the start of your team’s first official match of the season.
  2. Completing the team referee and snitch runner requirements. 
  3. Designate additional team staff using this form. (Optional)

  • Submit officials crew: Friday, January 7, 2022, 8 am ET  
  • Submit List of Additional Team Staff (optional): Friday, January 14, 2022, 8 am ET
  • Rosters Due: Friday, January 14, 2022, 8 am PT
  • First Day of Competition: Saturday, January 15, 2022, 8 am PT

Hotel Accommodations

Teams are responsible for booking their accommodations at one of the reserved hotels with USQ’s special rate (see below) or another hotel in Clark County. If you need confirmation if a hotel is in the correct city or county, please reach out to USQ’s Events Manager, Jeremy Schleicher, at

Once hotel rooms are booked, teams must fill out this form. Teams are not considered fully registered for the event until this form is completed. Teams exempt from USQ’s stay and play policy do not need to fill out this form.
