Follow the Action at 2021 Midwest Regional Championship

The Midwest Regional Championship takes place October 30 in Papillion, Nebraska. Information about how to stay updated on the action (including livestream) is below.

Schedule

Collegiate teams will participate in a round robin format into a bracket for all five teams to determine the collegiate regional champion as well as the three collegiate teams who qualify for 2022 US Quidditch Cup. 

Games will take place on Saturday only. More information on the gameplay format is available here. The full schedule, along with scores, is available here

Saturday, October 30:

  • 6:15 am - USQ staff on-site
  • 7:30 am - teams arrive at fields, player-check in begins, HQ opens
  • 7:30 am - Captain and Coaches meeting
  • 8 am - first games begin, youth quidditch opens
  • 8 pm - last game slot of the day
  • After games end - awards ceremony

The tournament takes place at Papillion Landing Field House. Parking is free.

The forecast for this weekend is highs in the high 50s/low 60s and lows in the high 30s. We will play rain or shine. 

We will be playing on the outdoor turf field. The indoor turf field is available as a backup in case of inclement weather. Permanent restrooms are located adjacent to the fields. 

Facility Policies

  • No food or beverage may be brought into the turf field portion of the building, with the exception of one water bottle or sports drink per playing participant. 
  • Sunflower seeds and gum are strictly prohibited in all the activity areas.
  • Smoking is prohibited in or on the Papillion Landing Campus
  • Tobacco or tobacco like products (including e-cigarettes and vapor products), drugs, and the use of profanity are strictly prohibited in and around the facility.
  • No dogs (except service dogs), cats or other animals are allowed in the facility.

Livestream

All games will be livestreamed on USQ’s YouTube and Twitch account.

Scores

Score posters will be at the HQ tent. Online, scores will be shared on Twitter and in the schedule spreadsheet. After the event, scores will be posted here.

We will be selling merch at this event, including event t-shirts, trading cards, and mystery bags. We will also have USQ apparel available.
