The new BIPOC Member Grant covers the player registration fee for new collegiate or club BIPOC athletes who may have difficulty affording the cost of membership.
US Quidditch has launched a brand new grant program: the BIPOC Member Grant. This program covers the player registration fee for BIPOC athletes who may have difficulty affording a membership. Thanks to fundraising efforts from the Harry Potter Running Club and GiveBIG fundraiser, 51 individuals will be able to receive this grant.
This grant covers the player registration fee valid for the 2021-22 season. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed the last week of each month. The awarded individuals will receive redemption codes to purchase this membership. Any grants that go unawarded in the 2021-22 season will roll over to the 2022-23 season.
Any Black, Indigenous, and person of color who joined their current division of USQ during the 2021-22, 2020-21, or 2019-20 season is eligible for the BIPOC grant.
You can apply for the BIPOC grant via this form linked here.
If you have already purchased a USQ membership for the 21-22 season, you are still able to apply for this grant. If selected, you will be refunded your membership fee.
