USQ Announces Among Us Tournament, US Quidditch Cup 13: FROM HOME

US Quidditch will be hosting US Quidditch Cup 13: FROM HOME, a tournament centered around the video game Among Us, where competitors can earn free USQ memberships and merchandise.

USQ will be hosting US Quidditch Cup 13: FROM HOME, our first ever video game tournament, featuring Among Us. 

To sign up as a competitor, please complete this form. Registration closes on March 4th. Everyone in the quidditch community is welcome to compete, including those outside of the US. Prizes will include USQ memberships and merchandise. We encourage anyone wanting to spectate to follow our Twitch channel, where we will be streaming the games.

We landed on Among Us after it received over 50% of the votes in  the previously released interest form. We also considered the accessibility of the game, its streamability, and the possibility of a tournament format when making our final decision. Competitors who are current USQ Members can sign up for free, competitors who are not current USQ Members must pay a $5 entry fee at this link. after they sign up.

If a competitor is a player on a USQ member team, but not a USQ member, they will have received a 20% off discount code via email.

The competition will take place from late-March to mid-April, with multiple Super Regional preliminary rounds throughout the month. The top two players from each Super Regional will advance to the Championship Match, which will occur between April 16 and April 18, 2021. The sign-up form will ask competitors for their availability, and the official dates  will be determined based on those responses.

Competitors will be scored based on different aspects of the game: game wins, accuracy of voting, and opponent kills. More information about the event, including point values, game settings, and gameplay policies, can be found in the rules document.
