To apply to have a tournament sanctioned by USQ, a USQ certified tournament director must submit an application no later than one month in advance of the event, though applications received after that point will be considered on a case by case basis. After submitting the form below, the TD(s) will receive an email to set up an interview with USQ staff. The interview will take 30-60 minutes and consist of reviewing the application and event, going over the event sanctioning program in general, and answering any questions the TD(s) may have. While some quidditch teams are fortunate enough to have access to the tools and supplies to build their own set of hoops, others find themselves paying anywhere from $250 to $500 for their first set. For a new college or high school team, this fee, on top of registration, uniforms and other equipment costs can be a barrier to entry. That is where USQ’s Let the Kids Play: Equipment Grant comes in. This grant, led as an initiative from the USQ Board of Directors, will provide a new set of hoops for five teams this season. With COVID-19 having an impact on new team development, any unawarded funds remaining from this year's grant will be added to next years Let the Kids Play grant offering. The hoop supplier will be Shooty Hoops Supplies, which is owned and operated by Matt Melton and Krystina Packard. To apply, please fill out this form here. Both official and unofficial teams are eligible to apply. To learn more about this grant, click here.
