New resources are available for TDs and USQ members, focusing on hosting youth workshops.
We are excited to share some new resources for individuals hosting youth workshops and tournaments!
USQ is extending an opportunity for members to apply to host a USQ sanctioned youth workshop. Workshops that are approved for sanctioning would be eligible for a certificate of insurance that provides proof of liability insurance from USQ for a facility, city, park and rec district, etc. Naming an entity as additional insured may be available upon request. Please note that we will have to review specific insurance requests and may not be able to fulfill all insurance requirements. Application and further details can be found here. This form will also be made available in the youth workshop host info packet and on our youth programs page. We ask that you allow 1-2 weeks for requests to be reviewed, approved, and processed.
For anyone hosting a youth workshop please don’t hesitate to reach out to USQ’s youth development department for any questions or advice. The team can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. We also encourage you to add workshops to the USQ calendar, which can be done on the ‘my events’ link on your USQ member page.
TDs hosting a USQ sanctioned event now have the option to rent an internet hotspot. Hotspot rental will be discussed during the normal event sanctioning interview process. The only cost to TDs will be shipping it back to USQ. However, if a hotspot is lost or damaged TDs will have to cover the cost of replacing it. For questions, please email email@example.com.
Did you know becoming a TD is a free certification program offered by USQ? Being a certified TD gets you access to resources, event support for tournaments you organize, plus the option to host USQ sanctioned events.
