Follow the Action at 2020 Southwest Regional Championship

The Southwest Regional Championship will take place February 8-9 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Information about how to stay updated on the action (including livestream) is below.


Collegiate teams will participate in a single round robin format for all ten (10) teams to determine the collegiate regional champion as well as the six (6) collegiate teams who qualify for US Quidditch Cup 13.

Saturday, February 8:

7:00 am - setup volunteers arrive
7:30 am - player-check in begins & HQ opens
8:00 am - teams arrive at fields
9:00 am - first games begin
6:15 pm - final round of games begin

Sunday, February 9:

7:00 am - setup volunteers arrive
7:30 am - player-check in begins & HQ opens
8:00 am - teams arrive at fields
8:30 am - first games begin
3:15 pm - final round of games begin

Facility Information

The tournament takes place at the LSU UREC Field Complex.

Spectators are encouraged to bring in chairs. 

The forecast for Saturday is cloudy early morning, then sunny with a high near 65°. For Sunday, the forecast is sunny mid morning, then cloudy with a high near 72°. We will play rain or shine. 

There is a permanent restroom building adjacent to the fields.

Facility Policies

  • Outside food and drink are allowed into the park. 
  • Per park policy, NO alcohol, propane gas, or open flames will be allowed on the event site. Park staff has the ability to eject any participants consuming alcohol at the event.
  • Pets are allowed on the premises but US Quidditch and LSU UREC Field Complex staff kindly ask for pets to remain off of the fields.


Select games may be livestreamed on USQ’s YouTube and Facebook account.

Food Truck

Food trucks will be on-site both Saturday and Sunday. They will begin serving at approximately 10:30 am both days. Please see the following vendors as well as their website.
