Follow the Action at 2020 South Regional Championship

The South Regional Championship will take place February 15-16 in Haines City, Florida. Information about how to stay updated on the action (including livestream) is below.


The teams will participate in a double round robin format. After these games, any matchups that are split 1-1 will play a third game to determine the winner of the matchup. The two bids to US Quidditch Cup 13, as well as who is the collegiate division champion, will be based on the final rankings of teams, which will take into account all games played that weekend.

Saturday, February 15:

  • 6:30 AM - USQ staff on-site
  • 7:00 AM - setup volunteers arrive
  • 8:00 AM - teams arrive at fields, player-check in begins, HQ opens
  • 9:00 AM - first games begin 

Sunday, February 16:

  • 7:00 AM - USQ staff on-site
  • 7:00 AM - setup volunteers arrive
  • 8:00 AM - teams arrive at fields, player-check in begins, HQ opens
  • 9:00 AM - first games begin

The tournament takes place at the brand newFeltrim Sports Village in the Balmoral Resort.

The forecast for this weekend is warm and partly sunny. We will play rain or shine. 

There is a permanent restroom building adjacent to the fields.

Facility Policies

  • Outside food and drink are not allowed into the park. 
  • Per park policy, NO alcohol, propane gas, or open flames will be allowed on the event site. Park staff has the ability to eject any participants consuming alcohol at the event.
  • Pets other than service animals are not allowed on the premises

Pick-Up Games

Any time remaining on Sunday following the conclusion of the last tiebreaker matches will be filled with a pickup quidditch event open to players, coaches and spectators. Medical staff will remain present during these pick up games and they will be overseen by certified officials. Register for the pick-up games through Eventbrite here.

Youth Quidditch

Free youth quidditch workshops will be available to elementary, middle, and high school students all weekend. Stop by the HQ area to sign up.
