UTSA Club Quidditch won the collegiate division title.
10 collegiate teams participated in the tournament, which took place at the LSU UREC Fields in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 8-9, 2020. Due to unexpected inclement weather, we had to pause gameplay on Saturday for four hours. As a result of the delay, the original round robin schedule was adjusted. Instead of a full round robin, teams played games that were determined to have the strongest effect on the outcome of who could get bids to USQ Cup and who could win the title of regional champion, as well as provided equitable strength of schedule accounting for games that had already been played. All teams played an equal number of games.
The list of competing teams are available below in the order of their final ranking. UTSA Club Quidditch won the collegiate division and Texas Quidditch was the runner-up. Those in bold qualified for US Quidditch Cup 13. Information about qualifying for an at-large bid and signing-up for the open division can be found here.
Fans and parents can re-watch the coverage from USQ for livestreamed games. They are available on Facebook now.
We still have event t-shirts and trading cards available to purchase from this event. They will be up on our DFTBA store soon.
