Second Edition of Youth Rulebook Released

The second edition of the youth rulebook has been released.

US Quidditch is proud to announce the second edition of the youth quidditch rulebook. Under our youth rulebook, quidditch is played with minimal to no contact and the pitch size is smaller.

The second edition takes the previous Elementary/Middle School & High School versions and combines them into one book. Combining both allows users to more easily modify different aspects of the youth rules based on the level that their team would like to utilize, with level of contact being one example. This new version of the rulebook also includes additional advice for starting a team and quick start instructions for those looking to play with very simple instructions.

For players interested in high school quidditch, the key differences between what were previously considered Elementary/Middle and High School are now listed out in Appendix B.

The youth rulebook can be downloaded online here and is also on the rules page.

As the second edition of the youth rulebook is being released mid season, we will not be publishing a full print edition. The next full print edition will be available in summer 2020. However, the linked file above is formatted to be easily printed at home.

If you are interested in starting a youth team, hosting a youth workshop, or have questions about the rulebook update, please email youth@usquidditch.org.
