How to follow Southwest Regional Championship this weekend

Follow live updates from Arlington, TX this weekend during the 2019 Southwest Regional Championship.

We’ll be tweeting scores all weekend @USQScores. Live updates and coverage of games will come from @LiveWithUSQ. Photos and videos will be available on the USQ Instagram account, and livestreamed games will be hosted on YouTube. Updates will also be posted on the Facebook event. The hashtag for the event is #SWRC2019.

If you’re in the area, the event is free and open the public. We will play rain or shine.

To enter the parking lots, enter the facility going east on W Bardin Dr, and take a right onto Sports Center Drive.


The full gameplay schedule is here. The collegiate bracket will be posted Saturday evening, and the community bracket will be finalized after the Sunday morning games.

Friday, February 22:

All Day —Teams arrive at hotels.
Evening — Player check-in and captains’ meetings.
9:00 pm — Player check-in begins at La Quinta Inns & Suites Arlington South (4001 Scots Legacy Dr, Arlington, TX 76015)
9:15 pm — Coaches meeting at La Quinta
9:45 pm — Player check-in ends at La Quinta
10:00 pm — Player check-in begins at Quality Inn at Arlington Highlands  (121 E Interstate 20, Arlington, TX 76018)
10:15 pm — Coaches meeting at Quality Inn
11:00 pm — Player check-in ends at Quality Inn

Saturday, February 23:

6:30 am— Set-up begins with staff
7:00 am — Set-up begins with volunteers
8:00 am —Teams arrive and check-in begins (for players who did not check-in Friday)
8:00 am — Gates open to the public
8:30 am — On-site captains’ meeting for those that didn’t check in on Friday; Referee and Snitch Runner Meeting for HRs, LARs, and snitch runners
9:00 am — Games begin
2:15 pm — Youth quidditch
7:30 pm — Games end

Sunday, February 24:

7:00 am — Set-up begins with staff and volunteers
8:30 am — Teams arrive
8:30 am — Gates open to the public
9:00 am — Games begin
11:15 am — Youth quidditch
3:00 pm — Final round of games for community division
4:30 pm — Championship game for collegiate division
5:15 pm — Medal presentation

For youth quidditch, you do not have to sign up in advance to participate, just stop by the HQ tent on-site. All participants must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Waivers will be available at the event; however, you may also request a waiver in advance by contacting


Outside food and drink are allowed into the park, but only bottled water is allowed on the turf fields.

Per park policy, NO alcohol, propane gas, or open flames will be allowed on the event site. Park staff has the ability to eject any participants consuming alcohol at the event.

Pets are allowed outside the fenced area, but not inside the field area. Service dogs are allowed.

Parking is free for everyone and is located around the fields. Spectators may bring chairs out onto the fields.

Attendees can sign up to get weather alerts and schedule updates via text message here. Please note that mass text messages can only be sent between 8 am and 9 pm.

Permanent bathrooms are available next to the covered pavilion.


US Quidditch merch, including event t-shirts and trading cards, will be available to purchase on-site at the HQ tent. The concessions stand will be open from 10:30 am - 7 pm.


Select games from pitch 2 will be livestreamed to USQ’s YouTube channel. The following games on Saturday are currently slated to be streamed (all times are in CT):

12:45 pm - Texas Cavalry vs Quidditch Club Dallas
1:30 pm - DeathRow Quidditch Team vs Bobcat Quidditch
3:00 pm - Carnage Quidditch vs Houston Cosmos Quidditch Club
3:45 pm - Texas State University - San Marcos vs The Silver Phoenix
4:30 pm - Texas Quidditch vs Tulane University Club Quidditch
5:15 pm - Texas Hill Country Heat vs Texas Cavalry
6:00 pm - SHSU Quidditch vs Austin Quidditch
6:45 pm - Texas Quidditch vs Texas A&M Quidditch
