The deadline for USNT applications has been extended to Feb. 12.
The deadline for US National Standing Team applications has been extended to Feb. 12 at 11:59 PM ET following the USNT Training Camp: Southwest on Feb. 10.
This includes the required video and letter of recommendation elements for new applicants. With this extension, athletes with standout performances at training camps will be offered spots prior to being publicly announced on Feb. 15.
As part of the application process for the standing USNT, all athletes interested in trying out that did not apply last season must submit three unedited recordings of official USQ or MLQ games in which they have played. The footage must meet the below requirements:
All video submissions will need to be submitted by11:59 PM ET on Feb. 12.
All videos will be sent via email to USNT Head Coach Michael “Yada” Parada at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “LASTNAME_USNT Video Submission.”
The body of the email should include a YouTube, Facebook Live, Google Drive or Dropbox link to the video, and must also include the athlete’s name, position(s), gender, their USQ seasonal team, their MLQ team (if applicable) and the address of assumed residency for the summer during which the IQA Continental Games will be taking place.
In the body of the email, athletes will be required to provide timestamps of when they were on the pitch, and a description of the play that takes place during each timestamp.
Footage will only be considered valid if the game took place during the 2017-18 USQ season, 2018 MLQ season and/or the 2018-19 USQ season.
