The Membership Expansion Manager will focus on growing the league’s membership base, and the Communications Manager will support league marketing and communications efforts. Applications for all three positions will be evaluated on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Candidates are encouraged to apply by Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Jillian Flom Departure

Jillian Flom, the current USQ Events Manager, will be leaving USQ to take on an exciting new position with Concordia Language Villages. Her last day is Monday, September 10.

Flom began volunteering for the league in 2013, after becoming involved in the sport at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2011. After 3 years as a USQ volunteer, she became the full-time Events Manager in January 2017.

As Events Manager, she was responsible for supporting the planning and execution of all USQ events and related programs, including nationals and regional championships. Flom focused on event logistics, event volunteers, and general event support and administration. In addition to assisting with event bidding efforts, she also supported the other employees throughout the year on additional projects outside of the events department.

“I am leaving my position as US Quidditch’s Events Manager in order to pursue a new opportunity. While I am excited for the path ahead, it is bittersweet to leave USQ. I have been privileged to see USQ grow and develop over the years. It has truly been an honor to work with this amazing group of staff and volunteers to make USQ’s events happen and I am excited to see where the organization and the sport will go in the future,” said Flom.

“I’m grateful to Jillian for all the work she has done during the 5 years she has been with USQ, both as a volunteer and as an employee. I’ve appreciated her commitment to improving our events, and her willingness to jump in on whatever programs needed her support. We will miss her, but we wish her all the best in the future,” said Sarah Woolsey, USQ’s Executive Director.
