Jeremy Taylor joins the USQ Events Department.
USQ is excited to announce a new volunteer in the Events Department: Jeremy Taylor!
As the TD Certification Coordinator, Jeremy Taylor will work to ensure that all official events meet USQ requirements for safety and gameplay, that tournament directors are aware of the resources available to them, and that events meet the league's quality standard. He will work in conjunction with the rest of the Tournament Director team in the Events Department, which also includes Amanda Perry and Carrie Soukup.
Taylor grew up in Arizona, and joined the quidditch community in fall 2015, playing with the Northern Arizona University Narwhals. On the team, he has served as a player, vice president, and tournament director. He also became the first certified head referee in the program’s history. “I'm excited to bring my experience as a tournament director to the USQ, and for the opportunity to help others run successful tournaments,” Taylor said.
He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Taylor is taking over the role from Logan Anbinder, who helped create the TD certification program in the 2014-15 season. Anbinder will be transitioning to the Office of the Executive Director, working as the Executive Assistant to Sarah Woolsey.
