The USNT defeated defending champion Australia in a closely contested match to earn a 3-0 record.
First-year USNT coaches Michael “Yada” Parada and Aryan Ghoddossy’s situational awareness was pivotal in the shift in momentum in favor of the U.S. after the team was down 40 against the Dropbears. The U.S. was then able to pull off a 90*-60 victory with a clutch catch by seeker Tyler Trudeau coupled with dominant snitch-on-pitch play by the USNT beater corps.

This is the USNT’s fifth all-time win against the Australians, and one that avenges their 150*-130 loss to the team in the finals of the 2016 IQA World Cup. The USNT looks to finish out the day with their last match against Brazil at 5 pm local time, 11 am EDT. A win there will put the U.S. 4-0 and give them a favorable seed going into bracket play tomorrow.
