US Quidditch is excited to have introduced a new fundraising initiative at our opening ceremonies this weekend.
Today, the excitement ramps up at US Quidditch Cup 11 in Round Rock. As the league celebrates teams at the pinnacle of quidditch competition, we also keep in mind another crucial part of our vision-- working towards a future where every person in the United States is aware of quidditch as a sport and has opportunities to play and engage at all levels. To that end, US Quidditch is excited to have introduced a new fundraising initiative at our opening ceremonies this weekend.
While some quidditch teams are fortunate enough to have access to the tools and supplies to build their own set of hoops, others find themselves paying anywhere from $250 to $500 for their first set. For a new college or high school team, this fee on top of registration, uniforms and other equipment costs can be a barrier to entry. That is where US Quidditch's Let the Kids Play: Equipment Fundraiser comes in. Our aim is to raise $5,000 by May 4, 2018 to equip 12 college teams and four high school teams with their first set of hoops for the 2018-19 season.
