The US National Team is pleased to introduce Aryan Ghoddossy as assistant coach.

As an MLQ champion and a five-time IQA/USQ national champion, Ghoddossy knows what it takes for a team to walk away with gold.

“Aryan is a proven winner with tons of experience and game knowledge,” said USNT Head Coach Michael “Yada” Parada. “He is truly passionate about quidditch and this squad, and I'm glad to have him at my side as we take back what is ours.”

Ghoddossy has played an active role in the selection process thus far, voluntarily attending and assisting in the Southwest and Northeast training camps.

“Whether it was scouting at tournaments or flying to the Northeast to assist at the Boston training camp, Aryan has been involved with the 2018 USNT from the beginning,” Parada said. “We couldn’t have reached this point without him. He has shown he is as dedicated as it comes.”

One of the most-decorated athletes in the sport, Ghoddossy played for the University of Texas during the team’s three-peat at IQA World Cup VI, IQA World Cup VII and US Quidditch World Cup 8. He chased for Texas Cavalry during their back-to-back championships, as well.

On the MLQ side of things, Ghoddossy served as non-playing head coach of the Austin Outlaws in 2016 and chased for the squad last summer.

Parada and Ghoddossy are currently meeting with scouts to determine the 2018 USNT roster. The full 25-person roster will be announced publicly on Tuesday, April 24.
