Texas State University - San Marcos won the collegiate division title and Lone Star Quidditch Club won the community division title at the Southwest Regional Championship in Wichita Falls, Texas.
As previously announced, the gameplay schedule for this tournament was revised from what was originally released, due to a change in the number of fields available. Read more here.
22 teams participated in the regional championship, which took place at GWFSA Soccer Complex in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 24-25, 2018. The list of competing teams is available below. Those in bold qualified for US Quidditch Cup 11. At this tournament, eight bids went to the collegiate division and three bids went to the community division. 88 teams will be attending the national championship in Round Rock, Texas over April 14 and 15, 2018. Texas A&M Quidditch forfeited the collegiate championship match against Texas State University, San Marcos. Earlier in bracket play, UTSA Club Quidditch forfeited the semifinal match against Texas Quidditch. In the community division, Lone Star Quidditch Club and Texas Cavalry simultaneously forfeited the final community championship match. These forfeits have been entered in the standings, per USQ policy.
