As regional coordinator for the West region, Jessica Ward will act as a liaison between USQ and West region teams and players. She relay team concerns and feedback to USQ staff, while helping answer questions and explain league policies to players.
Ward is in her fourth season playing chaser for the Long Beach Funky Quaffles, and also serves as a co-manager for the team. She also competed with Los Angeles Guardians, a Major League Quidditch team, last summer.
“I'm really excited to become part of USQ and to work hard to bring more opportunities for my region!” said Ward. Like her predecessor in this position, Elizabeth Barcelos, Ward is a certified tournament director. She most recently helped organize Anthill Funkdown, a tournament run jointly by Ward’s team and Anteater Quidditch.
The USQ West region includes the states of Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah.
