USQ 2015-16 Referee of the Year Erin Mallory has been selected as the head referee for the U.S. National Team. She’s been involved with the sport for over five years, starting with Maryland Quidditch. She most recently played for District of Columbia Quidditch Club. In Frankfurt, Mallory will serve as a non-player referee at the international championship July 23-24.

“I'm looking forward to seeing talented individuals from all over the world play this crazy awesome game that brings us all together. I've also never been to Europe before so this experience is one I'm very excited for!” says Mallory.

Mallory officiated at several regional championships this season. She also led the powerhouse referee team overseeing the final match at US Quidditch Cup 9.

“I cannot believe I have the honor of being the US Referee. It shows that all the hard work and time I've put into improving my skills as an overall referee has definitely paid off. I especially cannot wait because of how large of an event it is and that I'll get to share his experience with so many unique people I never would have had the chance to meet otherwise,” continues Mallory.
