Celebrate Quidditch's 10th Anniversary with Limited-Edition Merchandise

On October 9, 2005, a group of freshmen at Middlebury College in Vermont decided to adapt the game of quidditch from the Harry Potter novels for the real world. Ten years later, we're celebrating how far we've come with a commemorative coffee table book and "Evolution of Quidditch" t-shirt.

From those humble beginnings, now tens of thousands of athletes play quidditch in over 20 countries. Multiple nations have faced off in three national tournaments, in Oxford, England in 2012, Burnaby, British Columbia in 2014, and Sarteano, Italy in 2015. And in the United States, US Quidditch hosts nine tournaments annually for over 4,000 players with the support of city tourism and sports bureaus. In the 2014-2015 season, those tournaments brought a combined economic impact of over $1.5 million to the cities that hosted them. More than a passing fad or Potter craze, quidditch is here to stay.

To celebrate, we've put together two limited-edition merchandise items:

Coffee Table Book

Our limited edition, commemorative coffee table book chronicles the rise of quidditch from the perspective of the organizers, players, and photographers who have shaped the sport into what it is today. Quidditch Turns Ten is a hardcover, 10x13 inch 124-page full-color book, with gold foil on the cover and thick interior pages. Orders placed by December 11 will arrive for Christmas.
