USQ Announces New Regional Logos

US Quidditch is proud to reveal the logos of the new Great Lakes region and the updated Midwest region.

In December of 2014, USQ announced that beginning in the 2015-2016 season, the league would contain an additional region. This new region is called the Great Lakes region, and is the result of splitting the existing Midwest region with a few additional regional adjustments.

The Great Lakes logo was designed by USQ Graphic Design Coordinator Crystal Hutcheson. The Midwest logo was originally designed by Isaac Mitchell, and has been adapted and updated by Hutcheson.

“This new logo really captures the spirit of the Midwest. Through the design process many options were considered, but this one stood out to me. I believe it contains unique features that are central to the Midwest region and the people within it,” Colin Richards, USQ Midwest Regional Coordinator, said.

The new Midwest region contains Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

The new Great Lakes region contains Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio.

“I think [the Great Lakes regional logo] is clean, professional and it's a great start to establish an identity for the new Great Lakes Region. Teams will be able to take pride in knowing this logo represents them, and the logo ties in great with the namesake,” Alex Scheer, USQ Great Lakes Regional Coordinator, said.

As part of the rollout of the new logos, USQ has created regional banners for Facebook, which anyone is welcome to use on their own page to show off their region. The new logos will be used immediately in all regional branding, including marketing pieces for regional championships and merchandise.
