USQ Update
USQ Northwest Regional Championship Announced
US Quidditch is excited to announce that the first annual Northwest Regional Championship will be held at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Washington on March 7, 2015.
Starfire Sports, the official training facility of the Seattle Sounders FC, is located at 14800 Starfire Way in Tukwila, Washington just outside of Seattle. Matches will take place on two quidditch pitches, hosted simultaneously on two adjacent outdoor turf soccer fields, #9 and #10 (pictured above, bottom left and right).
Games will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015. A full schedule will be published shortly on the Northwest Regional Championship page on the USQ Website. The event is free for spectators and open to the public.
Official teams from the Northwest Region will be attending, and the top three finishers will win qualifying spots for the US Quidditch World Cup 8, to be held in Rock Hill, South Carolina on April 11-12, 2015.
The facility includes high-quality lighted turf fields, bathrooms, concessions stands, water fountains, and a restaurant on-site. Daily parking passes are $5.00 per car. For more information, please click here.
Hotel packages for teams and guests are listed here. All participating teams outside of a 100 mile radius of the event are required to book their full team through one of the hotels provided, as per USQ’s Stay and Play policy. Because this is a one day event, attending teams must stay on Friday night, March 6, at minimum, to facilitate check-in.
