Kimball Hired for Assistant Event Manager Position

US Quidditch is excited to announce that Mary Kimball has been hired for the Assistant Event Manager position and will begin immediately on supporting operations for USQ World Cup 8

Kimball was selected out of over 200 applicants for the position based on her experience, passion, character, and strong interview answers tackling event scenarios and past projects. She has been a manager for events with more than 4,000 attendees, including Brokechella, a four-stage Los Angeles concert with over 40 bands and musicians. With more than six years of professional experience in event, theater and stage management, Kimball brings a wealth of experience in mobilizing groups of people and available resources to put together fantastic events.

“As someone who loves to support passionate people,” Kimball said, “I cannot wait to start work on World Cup and collaborate with this incredible community!”

Kimball will be working closely on a part-time basis with and under the instruction of USQ Events Director Sarah Woolsey to plan key logistics, vendor, operations, equipment, financial, and volunteer recruitment/management aspects of the World Cup. She will also work closely with the facility managers and city staff to plan, promote, and manage the event.

“We’re excited to have Mary on our team,” said USQ COO Alicia Radford. “She has a solid background in event management, and has the skills and confidence to tackle World Cup and make the player and spectator experience even better.”

Kimball’s first day of work is today, Jan. 21.
