US Quidditch is excited to announce a new travel partner for the 2014-15 season, Traveling Teams.
After completing a four-month process that involved interviewing, researching, testing, and checking references on more than 10 potential travel partners, USQ selected Traveling Teams as the best potential partner based on their outstanding record with sports organizations and glowing recommendations from other leagues who have been working with them for years.
Traveling Teams has offices in Michigan and Arizona with 37 staff members, and has been in the business of arranging hotel and travel accommodations for sporting events for 13 years. They have a strong focus on customer service and will be working hard to release a variety of hotels at a range of affordable price points for teams at every USQ Regional Championship and World Cup.
Fall Regional Championship hotel pages will be launched by Oct. 1, 2014, and spring events (including USQ World Cup) will be launched as soon as possible thereafter.
As a reminder, Stay-and-Play will be in effect at all USQ Regional Championships and World Cup, requiring that teams outside a radius of 100 miles of the event book within the hotel options provided in order to register for the event. By using Stay-and-Play and working with a travel partner, USQ is able to receive better support from cities, have a superior and better-tracked economic impact on the local communities where events are hosted, have the opportunity to negotiate better overall hotel deals, and gradually reduce event registration, parking, and other event fees. All of this serves long-term to make the sport more attractive to potential host cities and attract an increasing quantity and quality of bids for all future events.
