The IQA is excited to announce the date and location for the South Regional Championship.
Regional and Tournament Director: Jennifer Tran (email@example.com)
Manchester Meadows, in Rock Hill, S.C., will be the location of this year’s South Regional Championship. The site features six fields, two with stadium seating for the semi and final matches.
Tran gave us her view on why this location was chosen and the expectations for the event.
- Why did you choose this particular site for regionals?
Choosing between Tuscaloosa and Rock Hill was a ridiculously difficult choice for me, personally. Both sites had so much to offer, but Rock Hill's facilities were absolutely pristine. It had everything that any player would want from a high caliber, professional event. Spectators and players alike will immensely enjoy the stadium seating for the semis and finals, as well as the beautiful fields lined for the games in general. Trust me, this venue is a gem!
- How can individuals get involved in planning the tournaments?
Currently we have all positions open on our Regional Championship Committee, and we're always accepting help for refereeing and snitching. I'm excited to be the tournament director this year and even more stoked to start hiring a group of amazing individuals whom I know will put their all into making this the best regionals the South has ever been to.
