As has become tradition, this weekend's QuidCon featured the Interregional Tournament. Attendees and staff were divided into four teams, which were largely but not completely based on region. Although the four teams showed that they were largely evenly matched, it was Best of the Corn that came out victorious, topping Midwest Coast 130-60* in the finals.

The tournament featured a round robin, with teams then being seeded into a bracket for a single elimination tournament. Best of the Corn - a group consisting almost exclusively of Midwestern and Western Region players, primarily the latter - went 1-2 in pool play, and entered the bracket as the bottom seed. Their lone victory in pool play was over Logan's Heroes, which featured players from the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, and Southwest and eventually earned the top seed. Midwest Coast boasted the second seed entering bracket play, after a 2-1 performance. In the semifinals, Best of the Corn upset Logan's Heroes 110*-30, while Midwest Coast beat Mexicanada 120-80*. Best of the Corn was led by Oklahoma State University (Stillwater, OK) chaser Hayden Applebee, whose relentless drives to the hoop were crucial in generating points for his squad. Keeper Kevin Oelze of the Silicon Valley Skrewts (Mountain View, CA) once again showed his adeptness in distributing and managing an offense, while taking advantage of driving opportunities. In either a sign of the apocalypse or, at the very least, a tribute to the nature of QuidCon, Midwest Coast was led offensively by Dan Hanson of the Lost Boys (Lomita, CA) and Forrest Stone of the Skrewts. The two worked well together throughout the day, helping their team earn the #2 seed and reach the finals. Hanson's veteran experience aided in managing the offense, while Stone showed himself to be a more than capable goalscorer. Logan's Heroes was able to earn the top seed on the back of its three leading scorers: Ithaca College's (Ithaca, NY) Toby March, Jeff Lusk of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (Greensboro, NC), and Commissioner Alex Benepe. In addition to Benepe, the team featured numerous members of the IQA Management Team, including outgoing Development Director/ incoming World Cup VII Tournament Director Sarah Woolsey, Marketing Director Logan Anbinder (whose love of puns most certainly inspired the team's name, a play on the late-60's sitcom Hogan's Heroes), and Membership Director Katie Stack.
