Apply for Southwest Regional Director
The Southwest Region is looking for a new Regional Director. We are looking for a dedicated, organized, enthusiastic, and passionate leader to become the new Southwest Regional Director. The Southwest Region includes the states of Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
As Regional Director, you will work closely with the other RDs and with your region's State Representatives to foster environments of competition and community within your region. RDs can expect to work at least 10-20 hours per week at the position (depending on the season).

Regional Director Qualifications:
-reside for the duration of the academic year in the region which he/she represents
-possess excellent communication skills
-have at least 1-2 years of quidditch experience
-maintain frequent access to email, Facebook, and other modes of communication
-possess initiative/be a self-starter
Excellent Candidates will possess the above as well as:
-Reside full time in the Southwest
-Have previous management or leadership experience
-Have natural, demonstrable leadership instincts
-Be a skilled organizer of people and events
-Show a clear and compelling vision for the future of the Southwest
Key duties & responsibilities:
-Create and maintain the brand of the region to engender regional unity and pride
-Hire, assign, and manage State Representatives and other staff
-Work with State Representatives to contact and be readily available to both developing and developed teams in your region
-Stay in frequent contact with your teams in the region to encourage growth and membership through email, Facebook, Skype, etc.
-Work with Expansion Representatives to develop and find new teams, and be proactive in contacting local schools in order to grow the sport
-When notified of a new team in your region, send them a welcome email introducing self & duties
-Ensure the region's fiscal soundness
-Hire Regional Championship Committee (RCC) members
-Help plan and support regional tournaments and conferences by maintaining communication between teams and working closely with RCC
-Attend weekly meetings with other Regional Directors
-Send Teams Director a monthly report outlining the state of the region (what teams are official members/currently forming, events and tournaments in the area, news, etc.)
Supplemental questions:
1. If you were the regional director, what would your top five priorities be in the position, in order? Why? What would you do daily to accomplish these goals?
2. What is your vision for the Southwest Region?
3. Identify one personal trait, characteristic, habit, or approach that you feel would be detrimental to your performance as the regional director. What are you doing/will you do to overcome this in the position? Identify a trait that would help you excel at your performance as the regional director.
4. Being a representative of the IQA requires representing the organization as a whole in the best possible light at all times. How would you work to represent IQA decisions and policies to members of our region while maintaining professionalism?
5. Regional Directors are heavily involved in the organization of annual Regional Championships. Describe your ideas for running a quality RC, and the means by which you would implement them.
Apply for Spanish Expansion Representative
The IQA is also seeking applicants for the position of Expansion Representative in the country of Spain. As the Spanish Expansion Representative, your role will be helping quidditch expand where it doesn't exist yet. You will make contacts with people all over Spain aiming to find individuals interested in starting new teams and you will assist them in the preliminary stages.

Key duties & responsibilities:
- Work with fellow Expansion Reps to create sustainable outreach program
- Devise new ways to promote quidditch taking into account the specific cultural background of your country and Europe
- Help organize contact between experienced and new teams through information sessions, events, conventions, etc
- Make cold calls/emails
- Create and manage pages and groups on different social networks for potential new Spanish teams
- Attend weekly Skype meetings
- A time commitment of 5-10 hours a week
Required knowledge, skills, & abilities:
- Some knowledge of English (average or better written, basic or better spoken)
- Fluent in Spanish
- Familiarity with online communication and social media tools such as Facebook and email
- Persistence
- Creativity and ability to brainstorm
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated
- Passion for quidditch
Preferred:
- Already in contact with the majority or of the Spanish existing teams and/or interested individuals
- Knowledge (basic or better) of one or more European languages other than Spanish and English
