World Champions Announced!

The World Cup wrapped up on the Championship Field with the top two teams from both DI and DII fighting it out in their respective divisional finals. The sun was as unyielding as the teams' resolve for victory, as up to a thousand spectators braved the heat to cheer on the competitors in pursuit of the championship title.
WCVI proved that the south will, indeed, rise again. No. 2 University of Texas (Austin, TX) took No. 3 University of California Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA) with a final score of 190*-80. In Division II, Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, TX) earned its gold with a snitch grab, ending a well-matched game against Loyola University (New Orleans, LA): 110*-70.
