Each Sunday, the IQA will post a series of weekly announcements. Check back here every week for the latest opportunities and announcements from the International Quidditch Association. Weekly Announcements World Cup Webcast Currently the IQA is planning on hosting a free webcast of Day 2 of the World Cup (bracket play only), filmed from the top field at the event. A director is running the project and is bringing equipment, with the IQA supplementing additional equipment. The park is equipped already with internet and the IQA will be running hardlines directly to the webcast computer to limit weak wireless signal drops. The professional channel that the webcast is being broadcast on is currently being set up and will be announced soon. The World Cup webcast link is available here! In order to help run a smooth show, the IQA is seeking volunteer cameramen and/or technicians to assist with the production. Anyone with some experience pointing and shooting a camera or facilitating internet connections and setups (particularly for webcasting) is encouraged to apply. Being able to provide additional equipment including extra cables or cameras is a bonus. Additionally, if the IQA can find a suitable director, we can explore the option of extending coverage to Day 1 (pool play) as well. Applications should be sent to Hannah.Pohlmann@internationalquidditch.org. Please include a cover letter and a resume. Join Our Staff The IQA is seeking motivated individuals for a variety of positions. If you'd like to become a part of our organization, check out this list of open volunteer positions. Attend the World Cup The quidditch World Cup is this Saturday and Sunday in Kissimmee, Florida. Tickets are still available here. Bracket Challenge It's not too late to enter the IQA's official World Cup Bracket Challenge. More information including rules and how to enter is available here
