This one is a photograph, but I believe it captures the essence of everything quidditch (minus puppies, of course). Taken by Michael Mason of the NY Badassilisks, this has been one of my favorite quidditch photos of all time. Photography is art, especially when you can take a split second and frame it so well.

My favourite piece of quidditch artwork (top) is by Camila Delgado Montes; after one of our players died in August 2012, she drew this for us in remembrance of Maggie, and it was a really touching and wonderful gift from a friend to memorialize someone I cared about. I love the artwork (and that our jersey and Maggie's hair were incorporated), but it's my favourite because it provokes an emotional response and makes me feel both intense sadness and gratitude for Maggie, as well as gratitude that my team and I have such wonderful friends who share in our pain and our love.
I have also attached a similar piece that Cami drew for the Winthrop team when their captain Morgan was killed in a car accident; it's really lovely that Cami uses the skills she has to create things that help people and teams remember the people they love that are no longer with them.
I know they're made in (I believe) MS Paint, but I think that in this instance, that only reflects the creative DIY nature that created quidditch.

My 11 year old daughter sketched this at Southwest Regionals in College Station for her "bro" Austin Potts, who is a beater for A&M. It's my favorite piece because it brings back so many memories of a fantastic weekend. Weather was gorgeous, games were intense, crowd was amazing and I got to see so many of my former students, either on the field or on the sidelines. Such a fun sport!

This photo shows Ben Nadeau of Emerson doing a backwards dunk, and he pulled it off quite well. Emily Oliver from Emerson was able to catch the moment perfectly, and the only thing missing from it was the attention Ben deserved. Instead, it found its way to a dog.University of Kansas Promo Nominated by Nicole Denney Our Quidditch team has been a sports club at our school, the University of Kansas, for over 2 full years now. Originally, we were supported by most of the other clubs, but there were and still are some who don't accept us as a sport. The sports club council, however, has always been very supportive. From all the money we raised and all the members we have, we are the second most successful club at our school!!! Which is amazing! This has been the biggest changing year for us relating to the school. The sports club council finally advertises us at our school rec center and even put a snitch in the shield symbol that they use on EVERY picture. So we are finally being taken completely seriously by almost everyone.
As a sports club, we have monthly meetings with the other 40+ clubs at KU. There are still a few snickers when they call attendance and Quidditch is said. Then they see the stats and how successful we are. And I just sit back and smile.
