Having a background in leadership and organization, Sakowitz chose to apply for a position in HR. In addition to her work with the IQA, Sakowitz is the captain of her school's robotics and mock trial teams. She is involved in her school's debate team and on weekends works with an organization to tutor middle school children in math and bring them up to the proficiency level. Sakowitz has already set a number of goals for the position, citing her two predecessors as inspiration. She noted that she hoped to update and correct the staff directory and personnel records to bring them current. Sakowitz also explained, “I want to establish a greater connection between HR and the other departments; this might occur through greater opportunities for volunteer feedback.” Sakowitz also hopes to expand the department and train new associates. Chief Operating Officer Alicia Radford praised Sakowitz's hire. “She is dedicated, enthusiastic, and has great ideas for the department. I'm excited to have her on the management team and looking forward to working with her.” Overall, Sakowitz is thrilled about the new position, “I'm very excited about being the new HR director, and I can't wait to help guide the IQA as it progresses as an organization. I'd also love to involve more people in the organization and the sport it represents.”
