The Third Ives Pond Invitational took place this weekend. The tournament was ended early due to darkness prior to the semi-finals. Top-seeded N0. 19 QC Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA) was slated to face fifth-seeded University of Rochester (Rochester, NY) who upset Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY) in the quarter-finals. In the other matchup, seventh-seeded University of Ottawa Quidditch (Ottawa, ON), fresh off an upset of the seconded-seeded SUNY Geneseo (Geneseo, NY) squad, was due to face the third-seeded team from Carleton University (Ottawa, ON).
