With just under a week to go, there's still plenty of time to apply to be the IQA's new Editorial Manager! You can read more on our staff blog about why this is such a great position, and check out our volunteer positions page for information about all our openings.

To apply for Editorial Manager, send a cover letter, resume, two letters of recommendation, and answers to the supplemental questions below to

logan.anbinder@internationalquidditch.org no later than 11:59PM EST this Monday, January 14th.
Duties and responsibilities
-Ensure the presence of daily posts on the IQA website, including news items, league announcements, and strategy articles
-Oversee a staff of writers and copy editors
-Coordinate marketing efforts with those of other managers (Social Media, Video, Conventions, PR) in the Marketing Department
All candidates must:
-Have a mastery of the English language and its grammar
-Have previous experience editing prose
-Have the ability to assign and work under deadlines
-Attend weekly Marketing Department meetings
-Lead regular meetings of the Editorial Team
-Maintain frequent access to email, Facebook, and other modes of communication
In addition, ideal candidates will:
-Have a specific vision for the goals of the Editorial Team
-Have previous quidditch experience
-Have previous leadership and/or management experience
Supplemental questions:
1. Please include at least one piece of peer-edited prose. Please include a copy of the original and a copy of your edits.
2.Who is the IQA's audience? How can the Editorial Team best reach each segment of that audience?
3. What's one aspect of the IQA's website content that currently needs strengthening? How would you work to strengthen this area?
4. What's more important: quality or quantity?
5. The Editorial Team must provide compelling content while maintaining professionalism. Are these ever mutually exclusive? How will you achieve each of these goals?
