International teams have many reasons to be excited this season. Europe saw its first regional and an explosion of teams on the Continent and in the UK; our Australian regional branch is looking forward to its largest tournament ever; the Canadian Regional should be a major point of pride for any team in the IQA's oldest non-US hub; and teams have begun forming in Asia and Latin America for the first time.

Of course, teams around the world are looking ahead to the World Cup this April. The event promises to be the most international yet as competition and organization grow by leaps and bounds in many nations. Though the path to Kissimmee may be daunting to teams both inside and outside the US, the draw of world-class competition is a strong one.
This year, nine slots are allocated to non-US teams. Three are reserved for the top three slots from the Canadian Regional, one is reserved for the winner of the European Regional, and one is reserved for the winner of the upcoming Australian Regional. The objective of the remaining four slots is to allow the maximum number of nations into the World Cup.
We are happy to further clarify that general goal's accompanying policy today.
The remaining four slots will be allocated based on a modified first-come-first-served system. The first team from each of the first four nations to submit will be given a slot. In the event that there are not enough unique national submissions, the additional slots will be reallocated to the next earliest submission, regardless of nation. Only non-US teams that did not compete in a regional are eligible for these four slots.
This registration will be December 9
th, following the QUAFL Cup, the IQA's final fall regional. By opening the signup one week after Australia's tournament, all other international slots will have been assigned, leaving only the final four. The signup for these slots will begin at 5pm EST to allow teams from all points of the globe the best chance possible to register for the tournament. All teams to submit during the first two minutes will have their submission order randomized, to ensure that computing errors do not unfairly disadvantage any team.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming our international competitors to Kissimmee this spring!
