The IQA is proud to announce that Logan Anbinder, the IQA's Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, has been promoted to Marketing Director. He will now oversee one of the IQA's largest departments, comprising editorial, public relations, social media, and video. From his start as an Assistant Regional Director in the South, Logan has excelled in the IQA, pushing for the creation of a Mid-Atlantic region and becoming that region's Director. He organized the successful Mid-Atlantic fantasy tournament this summer and just ran the IQA's first US regional championship last weekend, which has been lauded as one of the IQA's best-run events. Through his hard work, the IQA's newest region is buildingĀ camaraderie and facilitating the growth of some of the IQA's new teams to watch. "My experience working with teams as RD has given me a good idea of what the IQA's various player constituencies expect from us in terms of news and information," Logan said. "I've also worked with the general public as a Convention Rep, which has helped me learn how to best market the sport to newer audiences." After graduating from the University of Maryland in 2012, Logan now has a marketing internship. The experience will serve him well in the IQA. This summer he was also chosen to be the Marketing/Communications Director for QuidCon 2013, due in part to his great writing and witty pun-making skills. Logan is a natural leader, and the management skills he has gained running his regional championship committee and his boundless enthusiasm and dedication to his work make him the ideal candidate to facilitate the management of the IQA's brand and messaging. One of Logan's major goals for the marketing department in the next year is to expand the IQA's reach. "I can't wait to get involved in selling the IQA to a larger audience. I think there's a large untapped potential audience, including traditional sports fans, whom we can reach out to while maintaining our traditional connections to the fandom where quidditch got its start. It's important to reach out to all segments of the population in order to continue to grow recognition of quidditch as the intense, physical sport it is." By taking this promotion, Logan will be stepping down as Mid-Atlantic Regional Director. The application process for hiring a new Mid-Atlantic Director will be posted on this site later today. From all of us at the IQA, congratulations Logan!
