The game was similar to that of the NBA 2K franchise, which allowed players to "live" the experience of an NFL player. While you could play actual games, the emphasis was placed on cinematic aspects. The sequel of this mode was less appeal than the first. The story wasn't as good and the novelty wore off quickly.

It's likely that EA is going to try to tweak the mode, however it's probably better to just get rid of it altogether. Fans will be more focused on the other modes that are available in Madden NFL 22 than it is an option, even if they're better. Electronic Arts should make some modifications to the narrative in the event that they decide to bring it back for a third season. Madden 22's version was met with many complaints. The narrative was unrealistic and forced players to support a character that was a bit of an idiot. EA needs to pay more focus on creating captivating stories if it is their goal to bring back the mode.
