If you're already a top-of-the-line MyTeam players, this tip isn't for you. You likely already have the stick skills required to compete online. But for those who are just beginning (or players who need a refresh) playing offline mode like Triple Threat Offline and Domination will accomplish two useful things.
First, you're getting in practice. Obviously, tricks that can be used against the CPU will not work against humans, but you're getting your shot timing dialed in which is essential. The other and more crucial element is that it's building the team of your best players by rewarding them.
Starting with a starter team and trying to compete on the same level as Triple Threat Online or Unlimited is difficult.
