The Vikings had two key players in Mallory Cross and Abby Thornburgh in that squad, however Bales' team was tasked with replacing them. However, Blue River still has senior center Ally Madden, one of the area's best interior players and sharpshooting junior Maci Chamberlin, as well as a strong foundations around them to help make one more tournament.

Although winning four consecutive sectional championships would break the school's record and set a new record, the Vikings still have an extended way to go to be a solid postseason rival.

"I don't know as there is still room for growth. I would like to see us become an organization that is capable of accomplishing that. We're not there yet," Bales said of the team's chances at winning being able to win a sectional championship. "We've to figure out how to defend better ... make sure not to commit the mistakes that don't have to be forced. There's a lot of growing to be done, and definitely (a Sectional Title) is where we hope to get."

Although winning four consecutive sectional championships will break the school record but this year's Vikings still have much to do towards being a definitive postseason contender.

"I do not know, because there is still madden 22 mut coins room for growth. I'm hoping that we will become an effective team accomplishing that. I don't think that we're there yet," Bales said of the possibility of the sectional championship. "We've got to learn how to defend better ... Try not to commit mistakes that aren't forced. There's a lot of growing to work on, and certainly (a the sectional titles) is where we'd like to end up."
