US QUIDDITCH EVENT MEDIA POLICY
All media captured at US Quidditch events is copyrighted by US Quidditch (USQ). By attending a US Quidditch event as a player, spectator, volunteer, vendor, official (referee), or in any other capacity, you are granting US Quidditch the right to use any and all images, videos, or any other media in all forms captured at USQ events whether now known or hereafter devised in perpetuity in any manner USQ sees fit. US Quidditch reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any USQ event, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video or that of the creator. USQ reserves the right to remove or add any watermark as they see fit. Upon entering a USQ event, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release in digital and print publications or other media material including but not limited to: news, webcasts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose to be used, produced, or contracted by USQ and its approved affiliates and representatives. You release USQ, its volunteers, employees, board members, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings. By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or of such use. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by USQ or the person or entity designated to do so by USQ. USQ reserves the right to add or change these policies at any time.
US QUIDDITCH MEDIA USE POLICY FOR PUBLICATIONS
Any published image(s) must clearly display the photo tag line 'Photo: [Name]/usquidditch.org' alongside each image. There is no exception to this policy unless otherwise agreed in writing with the company prior to the image(s) being published.
You acknowledge that by receiving image(s) the ownership of the image does not get transferred to You, the publication or individual, and you must not claim that it is Yours. Your license is non-transferable, which means that You, the publication or individual, are not allowed to sell, rent, give, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the image or the right to use the image to anyone else.
Upon approval of your request, you may use the approved image(s) only for the purpose which you specified while placing the request. Any additional usage requirements must be arranged with US Quidditch immediately and will be subject to a new approval for new or additional use.
You may NOT use any image received in the following ways unless they are expressly permitted by US Quidditch in writing prior to its use:
- In electronic items for resale, such as website templates, document templates, wallpapers, screensavers, e-cards or similar products that you intend to sell or distribute.
- For creating printed reproductions that you intend to sell. On physical items for resale and 'print on demand' items such as t-shirts, postcards, mouse pads, coffee mugs, calendars (e.g. on sites like Cafepress or Photobox), or on any similar mass produced items that would contain the image in a dominant way.
- For pornographic, unlawful or other immoral purposes, for spreading hate or discrimination, or to defame or victimize other people, societies and/or cultures.
- In a way that would make people assume that the person(s) depicted on the Image is/are endorsing a certain product or a service.
- In a way that could give a bad name to either the photographer or the person(s) depicted in the Image, including illustrating sensitive social subjects such as health issues, crime, sexual preferences, drug abuse or similar issues.
- As part of a business name, trademark, service mark or logo. Selling and redistribution of the image (individually or along with any other images) is strictly forbidden.
Note: All images/videos taken at US Quidditch events are copyrighted by US Quidditch. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in using images for editorial or commercial purposes.
