WHERE DO I FIND EQUIPMENT?
There are plenty of options available when it comes to equipment! Our ‘Equipment’ page offers advice on building your own equipment plus a resource library of quidditch equipment vendors - click here to visit that page.
ARE THERE SIMPLIFIED RULES?
Yes! Below are some simplified rules. A simplified version/quick start guide can also be found clicking here. You can also view our primer on quidditch by clicking here.
-
All players on the pitch (except the snitch) must be holding a broomstick between their legs whenever they are playing.
-
Only keepers and chasers can touch the quaffle.
-
Only beaters can touch the bludgers.
-
Only the seeker can catch the snitch.
-
The snitch is not released until a few minutes into gameplay.
-
Keepers can play like a chaser but also need to remember to guard the hoops.
-
If you are beat/hit with a bludger, you must drop whatever you are holding, get off of your broom, run back to the hoops, and tag the hoops before getting back in the game.
-
The quaffle is worth 10 points and the snitch is worth 30 points. Once a team catches the snitch, the game is over.
